• Who is the Bears’ starting quarterback in Week 4?
  • Justin Fields coming off a horrible game
  • Detroit defense must pick up the slack

As the third week of the National Football League comes to a conclusion, teams look to review Week 3 game footage, improve, and get ready for the following week. On Sunday, at 1 PM ET, the Chicago Bears will host the Detroit Lions for an exciting Week 4 matchup in the Soldier Field in Chicago Illinois.

The Detroit Lions are coming off what may be one of the most disappointing losses in NFL history as Justin Tucker luckily hit a 66 yarder to win the game. On the other hand, the Bears are coming off a terrible game as the Browns absolutely obliterated them. Both teams look to turn things around in this interesting NFC North matchup.

Lions Preview: Can the Lions Bounce Back From Week 3

Indeed, Week 3 was a terrible time to be a Lions fan. However, some great things did come out of that game favoring the Lions. The Lions’ defense was able to hold the strong Baltimore offense to only 19 points, 3 of those coming in the last three seconds. The Lions’ defense terrorized Lamar Jackson the entire game as he threw an interception, was sacked 4 times, and had fumbled.

The offense, on the other hand, also looked relatively strong. Though Jared Goff was unable to score, he was relatively efficient with the ball, he threw for zero interceptions and didn’t fumble the ball.

The Lions running backs carried the bulk of scoring as both Jamaal Williams and D’Andre Swift got a touchdown.

If the Lions can continue their strong defensive play and mediocre offensive play, they should easily be able to defeat a dysfunctional Bears team.

Bears Preview: Which Quarterback Will Start; Will They Be Ready?

Last week, the Bears had a horrible game against the Cleveland Browns. Justin Fields started his first NFL regular-season game after Andy Dalton came down with an injury. It seemed almost as if Fields was not ready to be put into this NFL atmosphere.

He threw for only 68 yards on a thirty percent completion rate. Fields was sacked 9 times, 4.5 times by Myles Garrett alone. The Bears’ offensive line gave Fields no help and Fields was simply spending too long in the pocket against a very strong defense.

Head coach Matt Nagy has a very difficult decision on which quarterback to start next week. Give Fields another shot? Let the Super Bowl winning quarterback Nick Foles take over? Or let veteran quarterback Andy Dalton take back over?

This is a very important decision and one that must be taken with lots of thought and detail. The future of this franchise could be decided by this call. Is Fields their franchise quarterback?

Odds & Free Betting Analysis for This Football Game

The current spread is at 3, favoring the Chicago Bears. This means that Vegas predicts that this game will be very close. But personally, I believe Detroit runs away with it. Their defense will be too much for the dysfunctional Bears’ offense to deal with.

In terms of the MoneyLine, again I believe the Lions are a lock. Unless the next Bears’ starting quarterback returns to their own respective pinnacles in their own past careers, the Bears don’t have much to rely on.
