The NFC north consists of four teams; those teams being the Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, and the Chicago Bears. Although some of the NFC teams in this NFC division have lacked talent and wins in recent decades, it seems as though every time this division faces off a great game is played.
Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers have had a long legacy of talent to put on a green uniform, but in recent years the man leading this team has been Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers was able to win the organization a championship in 2011, but since then has struggled to claim the trophy once more.
The Packers now still stand as a contender with solid defense and an offense centered around Aaron Rodgers, who is still playing at a high caliber level, even with Devonte Atoms going to the Las Vegas Raiders in the 2022 off season. The Packers are still in contenders range but should look to fill out the offense more.
Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions still continue to struggle as they have for decades. Going from one of the best teams in the league in the Green Bay Packers to one of the worst in the Lions. In recent years the Lions look to start turning things around hiring head coach Dan Campbell. Campbell brought a culture to the organization that young players could thrive in.
The Lions would then pick up running back D’Andre Swift and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown in the 2020 and 2021 draft. These picks would bring new life to their offense, and although the Lions still struggle to get wins, every Thanksgiving game against the Packers is competitive.
Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings look to be the most dangerous team in the NFC North at the moment, having a chance to win the last game of the year in the 2022-2023 season. This team is well-rounded, having a great defensive presence in the league and on the field. On the offensive side, having one of if not the best wide receivers in the NFL, Justin Jefferson.
The only thing that could hold this team back would be quarterback Kirk Cousins. Cousins is a solid quarterback but can struggle to stay consistent throughout the season. If Cousins is able to stay consistent throughout the playoffs the Vikings have a real chance at the Lombardi trophy.
Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears are another team that have seemed to struggle in recent years. After drafting quarterback Justin Fields from the University of Ohio State in the 2021 draft. Fields went 11th overall in the draft, with the Bears hoping for him to be their franchise quarterback.
The Bears are now in full NFC rebuild, giving time for Justin Fields to come into his own in the league. Even with this team being young, they are still extremely competitive.
