We have a huge playoff game this Sunday afternoon from the Superdome in New Orleans. Two really good football teams will get together, as the Minnesota Vikings travel to the New Orleans Saints. The winner of this game will get a chance to move to the second round and take on either the Green Bay Packers or the San Francisco 49ers. The Saints beat the Vikings in October of 2018, 30-20. That was the last meeting between these two teams. The Saints come into this game at -6.5

Brees/Thomas/Kamar Elite Offensive Threesome

Drew Brees, Michael Thomas, and Alvin Kamara are about as good of a threesome as any team in the National Football League can trot out. Kamara has been red hot as of late, following a slow start to his season. He rushed for two touchdowns in the first half of the Week 17 blowout win over the Panthers.

Michael Thomas dropped just three passes all season. That’s on 185 targets, and 149 catches. He finished the season with over 1,700 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns. His quarterback Drew Brees finished the 2019 season with 27 passing touchdowns and 4 interceptions on 378 attempts.

Vikings Will Need Healthy Cook

The assumption is that Dalvin Cook will play in this game for Minnesota. They will need him if they want any shot at taking down the Saints in New Orleans. Cook has an injured shoulder, and missed Week 16 and 17. Despite missing those two games, the former Florida State running back finished with nearly 1,150 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen are an elite pass-catching combination. Thielen missed a great chunk of the season with injuries, which led Diggs to lead the team with 63 receptions and 6 touchdowns.

Kirk Cousins is going to have to step up for Minnesota. His regular-season numbers were solid, but his ability to go on the road and win is the big question mark here.

Get PAID betting the Saints

It’s really quite easy to get paid on this game. The New Orleans Saints are hungry and ready to go. They are at home. They may have the advantage of not having a week off. This is an easy game to pick.  The Saints are really good and even better at home. Drew Brees and the Saints win easily.  Bet the Saints -6.5 on Sunday afternoon!
