• Green Bay will be hurting on offense without Davante Adams.
  • Kyler Murray & Co. will take advantage of the Packers weak rushing defense.
  • DeAndre Hopkins could take the field on Thursday night.

The Green Bay Packers are looking to hand the Cardinals their first loss of the season. Unfortunately for them, they’ll be facing Arizona without Davante Adams. Having their best receiver sidelined won’t help them against the Cardinals’ high-powered offense.

The Cardinals could be planning to slow this game down a lot more. By controlling the clock, they’ll give Aaron Rodgers less time on the field. Considering the Green Bay defense isn’t great at stopping the run, it’s definitely a good plan. The question is, will their plan work well enough to win the game?

Packers vs Cardinals Matchup at a Glance

Packers Preview: Green Bay is ready to even the records out

Sure, in an ideal situation they’d have Davante Adams in the lineup. However, we can’t discredit that Aaron Rodgers is incredible at improvising. He’s done an amazing job with the team thus far and can really hammer it home on Thursday. However, Rodgers won’t be able to shoulder the burden alone.

His defense needs to play the best they have all year against Kyler Murray. Not to mention, the amazing receiving group. If Green Bay wants to take down the Cardinals, they’ll need to constantly put pressure on Murray. If not, the Packers will find themselves with the lesser score at the end of the game.

Cardinals Preview: Arizona plans to stay undefeated.

The Arizona Cardinals already know what to do when they step into the building. The main goal each time is to allow Kyler Murray to run his offense. His ability with his legs, paired with his football IQ makes him a dangerous QB. Of course, the Packers will look to contain him, something the Cardinals already know.

We actually expect a much slower approach to start the game from Arizona. In the beginning, they’ll work their way down the field to take up time. If they do this, Aaron Rodgers will be forced to move the ball faster downfield. Inevitably, the Cardinals want the Packers to run out of time, giving them the final possession.

Odds & Free Betting Analysis for This NFL Game

Green Bay is +6 in this game, mainly due to Davante Adams being out. Still, the +6 is quite good odds for the Packers here. This game will likely be a close one and any points will help with the fourth quarter closes.

The last time these two teams played was in 2018 and the Cardinals won by three. Both teams are 6-1 against the spread this year too, making them incredible options at the sportsbook. At the end of the day, you can only choose one to win it though.
