- Can Geno Smith put together a full four quarters?
- Steelers will have to match the big-play ability they showed last week.
- DK Metcalf will be the key to this game on both sides.
Heinz Field will play host to this terrific Sunday nighter between the 2-3 Seahawks and the 2-3 steelers. Last week, Geno Smith had to step in for Russell Wilson and looked like a competent quarterback option.
In his limited time last week, Smith threw for 131 yards and a touchdown as well as a pick. He will be looking to build off that this week against a Steelers defense that has been decent at best this season.
For the Steelers getting Najee Harris the ball early and often will be essential. Last week he had 23 touches out of the backfield for 122 yards and a touchdown, making it more apparent that the run game is something this offense needs considering their troubles through the air for the first couple of games.

Seahawks Preview: Seahawks Wings Clipped a Bit
The defense will have to step up in this game, especially considering the massive hole the Seahawks have at quarterback. Last week vs the Rams, the Seahawks could only produce a sack and three quarterback hits.
Against a quarterback like Ben Roethlisberger, they will have to up that production from their defensive line. The long-time Steelers quarterback likes to hold on to the ball well receivers get downfield, so that might help this week, considering last week Stafford was lightning-quick when it came to getting the ball out in Seattle.
Smith’s ability to run the ball and elude pressure must be accounted for in this offense. Last week he was not sacked at all and rushed for 27 yards on three carries. Keeping him up in the pocket and healthy has to be a major priority for this offensive line, considering Wilson’s beating last week and weeks prior.
Steelers Preview: Big Performance From Big Ben
The Steelers, on the other hand, haven’t been stung by the injury bug too much on offense, other than the loss of JuJu Smith-Schuster to season-ending shoulder surgery. Roethlisberger remembered what makes him such a good quarterback last week. It’s getting the ball down the field.
Chase Claypool was a big reason for the resurgence. Last week the Canadian-born wideout had five receptions for 130 yards and a touchdown. Along with that, Roethlisberger was able to find wideout Deonte Johnson for a massive 50-yard touchdown.
With the Harris having his first 100 yard game on the ground and the resurgence of Roethlisberger’s arm last week, things are looking up for the Steelers, and they will hope to keep this train rolling into Sunday night.
Odds & Free Betting Analysis for This NFL Game
This spread is kind of puzzling, just considering the number of injuries the Seahawks have suffered. With Pittsburgh being the home team, -4.5 is a tremendous value. The Seahawks are starting a quarterback that hasn’t been on this kind of stage in a while, and the Steeler’s offense looks to be back.
For the O/U, this seems about right and will be extremely tough to predict. The Steelers and Seahawks could easily lay eggs this whole game. Just as easily, they can put up a ton of points. The Over seems like the most suitable but regardless, the value on this pick isn’t worth the uncertainty.
