St. Louis Blues vs. Buffalo Sabres Betting Pick and Prediction

Hockey article at Knup Sports

The St Louis Blues look to extend their six-game winning streak in Arizona on Thursday night. The Blues are clearly the better team and will defeat the Sabres.

The St Louis Blues (43-20-10) take on the Buffalo Sabres (27-37-11) in Buffalo Thursday night. The Blues are having a phenomenal season so far, and with 96 points, they currently sit tied in second place with the Minnesota Wild in the Central Division. The Sabres are having a poor season this year and sit in sixth place in the Atlantic Division below the Detroit Redwings with 65 points. The Blues defeated the Sabres 5-3 previously this season and are looking to extend their win streak with a win against the Sabres Thursday night in Buffalo.

Blues Look To Extend Win Streak

The Blues are having a phenomenal season, and they just started playing their best hockey recently. The Blues are a true cup contender, and with winning six games in a row, they are very close to jumping the Wild in the standings.

The Blues offense has been their best attribute this season and has found no problem putting pucks in the net. The Blues are currently ranked in the top five in the NHL for goals per game average with 3.6 goals.

The Blues offense is led by forward Vladimir Tarasenko, who has recorded 67 points in 66 games played this season.

Sabres Try To Build Momentum

The Sabres are having a rough season this year but a lot better than years prior. The Sabres have no hopes left of making the playoffs and are playing for pure pride this last month of the season.

The Sabres have struggled from the net out this season, but their biggest weakness has been their defense. The Sabres rank seventh in the NHL for goals against average per game, allowing 3.39 goals against per game.

The Sabres this season are led by forward Tage Thompson, who has recorded 59 points in 71 games played this season.

St Louis Blues Puckline -1.5

The St Louis Blues carry all the momentum into this game as they are currently on a six-game winning streak. I understand that the Sabres also won their last game, but they do not have the momentum the Blues currently have. The Blues currently have one of the best offenses in the NHL, and I do not see them slowing down at all on Thursday night.

The Sabres also have one of the worst defense in the league, which will not be a good matchup for them. The Blues will cover the puckline and defeat the Sabres by two or more goals. The Blues are the favorite in this matchup with -210 odds to win, while the Sabres are the underdog with +180 odds.

The puckline is set at -1.5 with +120 odds for the Blues and -1.5 with -140 odds for the Sabres. The under/over is set at 6.5, the under has -115 odds, and the over has -105 odds. The Blues to cover the puckline is the pick of the night.
