The 2022 World Cup in Qatar is just days underway, and The competition is loaded with 32 of the best national teams in the world. However, these are going to be the eight teams that will find themselves as the winners of their groups.
Group A: Netherlands
If Senegal’s star Sadio Mane is out of the group stage, then Netherlands have an argument for having the easiest group.
Netherlands has everything there is to be a World Cup winner. They have an incredible amount of pace, balance, and strength. Senegal could give them some struggle, but they should get out of this group with relative ease.
Group B: England
England will have a ton of pressure as they are expected to win their group. There isn’t a second team in this group that compares to England ranking, and the pressure will be on South Gate to deliver, after coming up short in the Euros against Italy. England will be the most talked-about team in this tournament, but with the quality that they have on their roster, it should be no problem winning this group.
Group C: Argentina
Argentina play in a much tougher group than the first two. The South American giants will have to play against a great Mexico side, Saudi Arabia, and an underrated Poland team. However, this is one of the strongest and most balanced Argentinian sides and recent memory. The talk of the tournament will be if Lionel Messi can finally win the World Cup, and with this squad, he has a great chance of finally doing it.
Group D: France
There has been a ton of turmoil going around France football, and they will be a lesser squad without midfielder Paul Pogba. However, the reigning and defending World Cup champions will not have too many problems in the group stage, as they should dominate the competition in their group.
Group E: Germany
Arguably the best group in the entire competition is Germany. Germany is going to have a dog fight, but will come out as the winners of a group that contains Spain, Costa Rica, and an extremely underrated Japan squad, that could easily qualify. Germany’s motto has been consistency throughout decades, and that consistency will lend itself to another group victory.
Group F: Belgium
Group F is going to be interesting. Belgium should be the winners, but they are known to be a disappointing team, that crashes out far too early in the competition than they should. This is this generation of Belgium’s last chance to showcase that they are a force to be reckoned with in the World Cup. This group will be extremely close, but Belgium will still pull out the victory.
Group G: Brazil
Brazil are the favorites to win the World Cup, and for good reason. This Brazilian squad is loaded in every single area, with the full-backs being the only place where they could struggle. With such an elite team, Brazil should still be able to dominate this underrated group, as many fans are expecting them to come home from Qatar with the World Cup trophy.
Group H: Uruguay
The surprise of the tournament will be Uruguay. While Ghana, Korea Republic, and Portugal will all be forces in this group, Uruguay is going to surprise people as the best team. Uruguay have a crop of budding young superstars such as Darwin Nunez, Federico Valverde, Ronald Araujo, etc. They still have stars like Luis Suarez, Edison Cavani, and Diego Godin to mentor the group and bring an exciting team to the tournament.
