BetMGM announced on Monday that it will become the exclusive regional U.S. Partner of Borussia Dortmund.
This will make BetMGM the first U.S. sports betting company to partner with a German soccer team. This is a big deal! In fact, shares of MGM Resorts have soared 66%.
Borussia Dortmund is the second most successful and the second largest football club in Germany behind Bayern Munich. Dortmund has 8 Bundesliga championship titles, 4 German cup victories, and 1 UEFA Champions League title.
BetMGM is a sports betting and digital gaming entertainment company that is paving the way for the online gaming industry. BetMGM came to be after a partnership between MGM Resorts International and Entain Plc.
BetMGM has access to all of MGM’s U.S. online and land-based sports betting, poker tournaments, and online gaming businesses. BetMGM uses Entain’s incredible technology to offer the best sports betting and online gaming content.
BetMGM has been showing Bundesliga matches through their app and with the new deal, they will be able to use player imagery and team logos for marketing purposes.
The partnership will also feature social media promotions for fans and BetMGM customers will be able to enter sweepstakes that award cool Dortmund prizes.
The interest in Bundesliga is growing rapidly in the United States and now customers can watch and interact with one of the best soccer clubs in Germany.

Sports betting and I gaming are growing like crazy now that sports betting is legal outside of Nevada. BetMGM is growing and continues to gain market share, registering 138,000 customers in just 2 months, and its new partner Entain anticipates revenue to increase over 100% in 2021.
