Predicting Each of Big Five Soccer League Winners

Soccer article at Knup Sports

As domestic leagues in Europe’s big five leagues hit the half way point, these are who John thinks will win each league.

As of January transfer window begins to take its shape, fans are seen where exactly each team will likely be at for the rest of the season. These are the prediction to who win the Big Five Soccer leagues; the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1.

Premier League: Arsenal

It should be obvious that Arsenal are the favorites to win the Premier league, given they are eight points above second place Manchester City, and have looked like the best team in all of English football. However, with Manchester City’s dominance over the last decade, and the amount of depth that they have in the roster, most people expect Arsenal at some point to fall and for City to win the title.

It looks like though, the more Arsenal are counted out, the more they prove that they are the team to fear in the Premier League. 15 wins, out of 18 games, Mikel Arteta’s side is playing beautifully at the moment, and don’t show any signs of stopping. with the rise of the likes of Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, and Gabriel, Arsenal have enough to stage off all other contenders and when the Premier League for the first time in nine years.

La Liga: Real Madrid

FC Barcelona currently have the number one spot in La Liga. Barcelona are terrific defensively, and the addition of Striker Robert Lewandowski to the team has propelled them back into the dominance of La Liga.

However, with as long as season as it is, and with Real Madrid only being three points back of the rivals, Madrid have the better chance to win the league due to their consistency over the last few years and the depth in their squad. Expect Real Madrid to hit their stride soon and for Barcelona to loose consistency.

Serie A: Napoli

It looks as though 2023 will finally be the year that the Nweapolitans celebrate a Serie A trophy. Napoli have not won a Serie A trophy since the days of Diego Maradona. Napoli have a nine-point lead over second place to AC Milan, and are arguably playing the best football out of any team in the world right now. As long as Napoli can stay healthy, and their stars such as Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Napoli will end their title drought in this big five league.

Bundesliga: Bayern

It is in no way an exciting pick, but Bayern Munich will once again win the Bundesliga. Despite the fact that SC Freiburg and RB Leipzig are making the Bundesliga title a fight for Bayern, the Bavarian giants have proven that they are so consistent, and have the best players in all of Germany, and they will still have a relatively cake walkway through to the league title.

The only thing that could trip up Bayern at this moment, is if they are so focused on the Champions League that they begin to tail off in domestic competition, which is highly unlikely with how deep their squad is.

Ligue 1: PSG

With the talent that PSG have on a roster, there should be no team in the rest of League of that challenge the football giants. However Lens, and Marseille are under six points from the top of this big five league.

Though, as Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe proved in the World Cup, they are the two best players in the world, and with them on the same team there is no doubt that they will win their league.
