Chelsea Likely to Offload Two More Players as Pochetinho Streamlines His Squad
Chelsea FC has played three Premier League games with a draw against Liverpool, lost to West Ham, and won against Luton Town. The team looks more stable than it was in the previous seasons and Chelsea fans are sure that Pochetinho will restore the confidence in players and allow the team to bounce back to their winning ways.
The team has made historic signings with the latest being Moises Caicedo from Brighton. He becomes the most expensive signing for the season. Caicedo was earlier an Arsenal target but could not join the Gunners as Brighton felt the player was key for their squad. Later, the player was ready to move and found a new home at Stamford Bridge.
Caisedo will be replacing the gap left by N’golo Kante who moved to Saudi Arabia. His physique and work rate are likely to help Chelsea in the midfield.
Key Players Who Left Chelsea
Chelsea didn’t just buy players but has had a huge squad clearance with the coach giving leeway for players who don’t feel like being in Chelsea to leave. Pochetinho announced earlier that Joao Felix who was on loan at Chelsea was not in his plans. He noticed the same on Zakaria who was also on loan at Chelsea. The players left once the season finished.
Other top talents have left Chelsea and joined rival teams. Kai Havertz made a shocking move to Arsenal while Mason Mount, the Chelsea academy player signed for Manchester United. Mateo Kovacic is a Manchester City player.
Other players who left the Bridge were Edouard Mendy, Christian Pulisic, Aubameyang, Koulibaly, and Hakim Ziyech who recently signed for Galatasaray on loan. All these players have now settled in their new homes and are playing matches with more game time.
Two More Players Rumored to Leave Chelsea
Chelsea will still release more players to join other clubs. With the Saudi League having an extra month in the transfer Window, we are likely to see more players move to the league. Two players are already in discussion with other teams on an exit plan.
The Chelsea defender Trevoh Tom Chalobah is almost becoming a Bayern Munich player as he is set for a loan move that includes a buy deal agreement. The player has moved through the academy and will leave Chelsea emotionally.
Chalobah was an influential player for Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel and Frank Lampard. He looked ahead to being part of the squad and was determined to fight for his position. However, Bayern came knocking and he will be joining his former coach Thomas Tuchel.
Another key player set to move away from Stamford Bridge is Marc Cucurella. The defender was also part of the Chelsea team under Thomas Tuchel. He is likely to join Manchester United on loan.
Since joining Chelsea from Brighton, the player has been a key part of the team. He has had excellent stats but under the new manager, the player has not had a favor for game time. Moving away from the Bridge on loan will help the team find a suitable cover for the player.
