I’ll be looking at the five teams that I believe will battle each other for fourth in the Premier League, and then give a rating out of ten (my opinion), for…

1. Likelihood of finishing fourth
2. Betting Value

Current PL Table:

1. Manchester City (63 points)

2. Liverpool (57 points)

3. Chelsea (50 points)

4. Manchester United (46 points)

5. West Ham United (42 points)

6. Arsenal (42 points)

7. Wolverhampton Wanderers (40 points)

8. Tottenham Hotspur (39 points)

Teams are in order of where I believe they will finish in the league from fourth place and below.

Tottenham (+240)

Antonio Conte is a serial winner and has mentioned that his goals at Spurs go much further than merely qualifying for the Champions League. After an inspiring 3-2 win at Manchester City, Spurs will have the confidence to push on for fourth place.

Premier League Predictions: Who Will Finish Fourth and Qualify for The Champions League?

Tottenham has a chance to surprise the Premier League down the stretch due to their recent play.

New January signings Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur have made an instant impact, and Harry Kane is back to his best. Spurs’ remaining schedule in the Premier League is the sixth easiest compared to other clubs, and they are nearly back at full strength.

Top 4 Finish Chance: 8/10
Betting Value: 7/10
Should You Bet: Yes. Spurs have shown flashes of brilliance throughout this season, and I believe that brilliance will emerge in these next months.

Manchester United (+160)

It’s difficult to imagine Cristiano Ronaldo playing Europa League or Europa Conference League football next year. Manchester United has had a rollercoaster season; much like Tottenham, however, the noise has recently lowered. They are coming off two great wins in a row and are finally getting consistent performances out of Jadon Sancho and Bruno Fernandes.

With Paul Pogba returning from injury as well, United is a team that I believe can join City, Liverpool, and Chelsea in the top four. They have a difficult run of games ahead but are nearly at full strength and will compete till the end.

Top 4 Finish Chance: 8/10
Betting Value: 6/10
Should You Bet: Maybe. Between Spurs and United, I think one will finish fourth. You generally can’t go wrong putting your faith in Cristiano Ronaldo.

Arsenal (+130)

After losing their first three Premier League games of the season, people were genuinely asking the question, “will Arsenal get relegated?” Summer signings Aaron Ramsdale, Ben White, and Takehiro Tomiyasu have revolutionized their defense, and youngsters Emile Smith-Rowe, Bukayo Saka, and Martin Ødegaard have been electric in attack. Arsenal haven’t been out-classed in many games this season and might finally return to Europe’s biggest stage next season.

I believe they won’t, however, as they have a difficult final third of the season ahead of them. The Gunners still need to play Leicester, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Manchester United, Tottenham, and West Ham, and their only “easy” games come against Watford and Leeds.

Top 4 Finish Chance: 7/10
Betting Value: 3/10
Should You Bet? No. The value is not here, and Arsenal’s schedule is too tough.

Wolves (+2300)

Bruno Lage has revolutionized a team that looked to be heading for doom. He has been key to the development of Max Kilman, Rayan Ait-Nouri, and Daniel Podence who have all been excellent this year.

Wolves have been remarkable defensively, conceding the second least goals in the Premier League this season, and have performed excellently against the top teams. It will be so difficult for them to finish fourth, however, if they keep their heads down and keep winning games, anything is possible. It’s the Premier League.

Top 4 Finish Chance: 2/10
Betting Value: 7/10
Should You Bet? Why not? Wolves have genuinely been so good this season and there is major value here.

West Ham (+1700)

West Ham have definitely cooled down from a hot start to the season. They have been so good under David Moyes, and we have seen players like Declan Rice, Tomáš Souček, and Jarrod Bowen shine for the better part of two seasons now.

They still have the Europa League to focus on, taking away a lot of motive to push for fourth. The team that wins the Europa League automatically qualifies for the Champions League the following year, so it is likely in West Ham’s best interest to put the majority of their eggs in that basket.

Top 4 Finish Chance: 2/10
Betting Value: 4/10
Should You Bet? No. West Ham has slipped up too much these past few months and won’t finish fourth.
