St Louis City SC has announced that they have hired as their first head coach, Bradley Carnell to guide the program for it inaugural season. He is currently the interim head coach for the New York Red Bulls. Prior to that he spent five season as an assistant coach for the Red Bulls under three head coaches ( Jesse Marsch, Chris Armas and Gerhard Struber). Carnell was instrumental in helping guide New York to the 2018 Supporters’ Shield and has a 6-5-3 record as an interim head coach.

Carnell played professionally and played in his native country South Africa and played in Germany. with the Kaizer Chiefs, VfB Stuttgart, Borussia Monchengladbach and a handful of other clubs. He participated in the 2002 World Cup. St Louis City SC won’t be taking part in the top division of MLS until the 2023 season.
Carnell is 44 years old and was born on January 21, 1977 in Johannesburg, South Africa and attended Parktown High School for Boys.
