Betting Preview Avalanche vs Golden Knights
The Colorado Avalanche (7-4-1) heads to the T-Mobile arena once again for a rematch with the Vegas Golden Knights (10-2-1). Currently, Vegas has a sizable lead over Colorado in the West Division, and they are looking to build on it. As of right now, Vegas is No. 1 in the West Division, and Colorado is No. 3 behind the Blues.
Las Vegas Dominant on Home Ice
The Vegas Golden Knights come into this one as one of the best teams in the entire NHL on home ice. Vegas leads the entire NHL with eight wins on home ice with a complete record of (8-1-1) at home. Colorado comes into this game with a (3-3-1) record on the road, with their most recent road loss coming against the Golden Knights. As I mentioned earlier, this is just another of many regular-season meetings between these two division rivals. Head-to-head wins for either team are important, meaning they can either Vegas can distance themselves in the standings or Colorado can gain ground.
Who to Watch
When watching the Colorado Avalanche center, Nathan MacKinnon has been very productive, leading the team with 14 points. Right-wing Mikko Rantanen leads all Avalanche skaters with 7 goals on the year.
For Vegas, Mark Stone has been another impactful player on the ice other than Max Pacioretty. Stone leads Vegas in assists this year with 12 and points with 16. Stone has done a great job of setting up his teammates, and he is a player to look out for any time he has the puck.
Sunday, Colorado, and Vegas met for the first of eight games this season. Vegas skated away with a 1-0 win on Valentine’s Day powered by an incredible effort in net by goalie Marc-Andre Fleury. Fleury was perfect in net, saving 30-30 shots, and Vegas’ lone goal by left-wing Max Pacioretty was the difference. Pacioretty leads the Vegas Golden Knights with seven goals on the season, and Fleury has been great all year, saving 185 shots, winning 7 of eight starts.
Avalanche goalie Philipp Grubauer had a good game in net as well, saving 23 of 24 shots ending his four-game winning streak. On the season Grubauer is 7-3 with a goal allowed an average of 1.61 per game and a save percentage of 93.7 percent.

Previous Five Games
Two losses in the last five games for Colorado might look bad, but these losses were very close when you look at things. Colorado lost 4-3 to the Minnesota Wild and then most recently 1-0 against Vegas, where there isn’t anything you can do about that. Colorado is still an above-average playoff contender.
Golden Knights (4-1)
The Vegas Golden Knights are among the top teams in the NHL’s entirety, just behind the Maple Leafs and Bruins while being tied with the defending Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning with 21 points. Vegas has been hot all season, and despite a 1-0 loss recently against the Anaheim Ducks, Vegas has been very good.
Avalanche +1.5 (-265) Moneyline (-110) Over/Under 5.5 (-110)
Golden Knights -1.5 (-210) Moneyline (-110) Over/Under 5.5 (-110)
Prediction: Golden Knights Moneyline
The Avalanche and the Golden Knights are two of the top teams in the NHL. However, Vegas is the top team at home right now and seemingly doesn’t lose. Vegas won the first meeting 1-0, and I expect them to win the second matchup if Fleury is in the net. Take the Golden Knights money line and hop on the trend of their recent success because it is not a fluke.
