Franchise History

This franchise began play in 1960 as the Houston Oilers. While there, they won two AFL championships and then joined the NFL in 1970,

In 1997, the team moved to Nashville and played for one season at the Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium. The name changed from Oilers to Titans in 1999 and games were played at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee.
