2021 Panini Mosaic Draft Picks Football is the Panini brand’s first spin as a collegiate product. These boxes will strictly be available as an online exclusive, and boxes will be sold on the Panini website.
This new product joins a 2021 collegiate football series from Panini that already has Chronicles, Contenders and Prizm.
Current Pre-Orders for this box are listed at $599.99. However, the new box will be issued from Panini’s website as a “Dutch Auction” that starts at $800 per box. The price will continue to drop until it reaches $250 or sells out completely.
Draft Picks Football will revisit top players during their NCAA careers, with the focus of this box on the incoming rookies from the 2021 NFL Draft.
Each comes with a pair of packs, each with 15 cards. Hobby boxes deliver a pair of autographs and eight parallels total.
After the success of the Mosaic line during the 2018-2019 baseball season, the line moved to the gridiron for the 2020 season. The sets for this upcoming line should be similar to that of the 2020 football release.
That means chromium stock. Players in the set will be pictured and listed with their respective schools. The 2021 rookie class should figure prominently on the checklist.
Hobby Box: What to Expect
There is still not too much information on the specifics of the packs, but here is what we expect each hobby box to include.
Each box should include at least two autographs, six mosaic parallels, and two silver parallels per box. This would remain consistent with previous mosaic box releases.

Checklist
The 2021 Draft class will be the prominent piece of the checklist in this box. It has just been announced that there will also be historic players present along with some current day superstars placed in the box, potentially as part of a different insert.
As far as parallels go, most adopt the Mosaic pattern to go with a variety of colors. After the mosaic is the silver parallel which will reflect rainbow colors, similar to the design of Panini’s PRIZM line.
Panini Mosaic Draft Picks – When Will it Drop?
After taking forever to list their suspected drop date for this box, Panini announced today that the box will drop tomorrow as an online exclusive.
With that announcement, they also featured some of the top cards of the checklist which included mosaics of rookies such as Mac Jones, legends such as Drew Brees, and current superstars like Patrick Mahomes.
In all, this set should help kick off what is going to be a great season for football trading cards and memorabilia, and if you are an avid collector, you will want to be sure you don’t miss out on this exclusive box.
