Marvin Vettori #6 (Middleweight) will be clashing against Kevin Holland #10 in Las Vegas at the APEX this weekend. The original bout was slated to be Marvin Vettori vs Darren Till, but Till suffered a collarbone injury a couple of days before the fight. Holland will be the main headline for back-to-back Fight Night events.
Kevin Holland stepped in on short notice after the dominant five-round loss against Derek Brunson. It will be interesting to see if he will have a different game plan coming into this fight. As for Vettori, he is consistently proving himself to the UFC and the fans why he deserves a rematch against the champ Israel Adesanya.
UFC Fight Night: Marvin Vettori Preview
Vettori vs Till would have been more meaningful for “The Italian Dream”, but Vettori only wants one thing, and it’s a title fight for the Middleweight division against Adesanya. Vettori is coming off a win against Jack Hermanson in December via decision. Vettori may be ranked sixth in the division, but he lost to Israel Adesanya via decision in three rounds in 2018.
Since that loss, Marvin Vettori (16-4-1) is riding a four-fight win streak that includes a submission against Karl Roberson in the very first round. He is not known for knocking out his opponents by any means but is a very good all-around fighter who is good in the grappling department. He is also a good pressure striker and has good submission skills.
However, Vettori is nowhere as skilled as Kevin Holland’s last opponent, Derek Brunson, in regards to wrestling but can be Holland’s kryptonite in this fight when the opportunity presents itself. This is such an interesting fight because the odds for Vettori via ML are juiced. A loss here would really hurt his chances of getting what he has been chasing for the last three years.

UFC Fight Night: Kevin Holland Preview
Kevin Holland is going to be in the octagon once again. The critics and many fans believe that Holland could be rushing it as he took short notice against Marvin Vettori. His motives are hard to figure out as he could be looking to prove his critics wrong or get another paycheck as he is fighting his seventh opponent in 2020 and 2021 combined.
“Trailblazer” ( 21-6-0) is known for trash talking a lot during his fights in the octagon. However, after he got humbled against Derek Brunson a few weeks ago via unanimous decision, Holland stated that he will cut back on talking during his fight and listen to his corner a lot more. Other than that loss, Holland has not disappointed in the UFC.
Before the loss to Brunson, Holland was on a seven-fight win streak. Holland is no stranger to being doubted as he went 5-0 in 2020 and four wins coming by way of KO/TKO. He also received three Performance of the Night Bonuses over a short span.
If Holland has a different game plan, he can prove a lot of his critics wrong because he has an eight-inch reach advantage over his opponent. Holland has explosive power as he can knock out any fighter in his division with one punch. The odds are somewhat too good to pass as fans know what he is capable of doing in the octagon.

Vettori vs Holland Betting Pick
This is a hard fight to bet on, as the first round will probably dictate how the fight will go. The best bet is to take Marvin Vettori via decision at +165. In terms of round betting, the over 2.5 at -145 does not seem like a bad idea either. If you like Kevin Holland, Holland by KO/TKO or DQ is not a bad option at +525.
