UFC Vegas 46: Calvin Kattar vs. Giga Chikadze preview and prediction

UFC Vegas 46 brings in 2022 with a bang as #5 Calvin Kattar will battle #8 Giga Chikadze  at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas on January 15 in a featherweight bout.

Last August, Chikadze defeated Edson Barboza with a TKO in the 3rd round in his last fight. He now has won nine straight bouts  which gives him large momentum into this affair with Kattar.

Kattar on the other hand took a tremendous bating in his last fight as Max Holloway by a unanimous decision 50-43.50-43 and 50-42 last January.

If Chikadze can win this, he will be a top contender to face champion Alexander Volkanoski. Katter needs the win to stay in the conversation for a title fight. Katter is 6-3 since he began in 2027 with four of the wins coming by the means of stoppage . Chikadze enter with a perfect 7-0 record since his debut in 2019.

UFC Vegas 46 will be the toughest fight for Chikadze in his young UFC career, the question is will Chikadze, a kickboxer an a skilled striker, be able to withstand the brawler element that Kattar will be using.

Currently, Chikadze is favored -240 with Kattar as the underdog at -196

UFC Vegas 46 Prediction

My money is on the hot Chikadze to win this even thought he has never gotten past the fourth round in his UFC career. However, it might be a good value bet to grab the more experience Kattar for your bet.
